Greenhouse effect

Here is my answers to questions;

1. Models in the article

Mental-models was introduced in the article and mental models have three main role in learning which are problem solving, inferencing, and reasoning. Mental models reply to internal and cognitive representation.

2. Sketch of greenhouse effect

I was not really familiar with greenhouse gas and its effect so I just wrote the earth, ozone layer and sun lights going outside of greenhouse gas and infrared rays staying inside of the greenhouse gas.

3. Simulation

a) overview of the issue
Common things in my sketch and simulation are sunlights and infrared rays and things my sketch is lacking are the fact that buildings and other active objects are the main factors of greenhouse effect.
b) the atmosphere
I don't really understand what it means by 'atmosphere' but I think I could capture basic idea of the simulation of greenhouse effect. How it is at current situation, how it was 300 years ago, and in the ice age.
c)Phenomena
Main factors of increasing sunlight and infrared rays are environment and weather. When there are many buildings, technology that needs much energies, the number of sunlights and infrared rays increased because there is not enough forest which makes the number less. In addition, when  it's cloudy, the number also goes up somehow because it reflects the light and rays.
d)observation
When gas concentration is none, temperature goes down dramatically to around -8℃. On the other hand, when gas concentration is a lots, temperature goes up to around 15℃. This explains clearly that ice age exists because there was no factor causes greenhouse gas and there is a problem of global warming because there are too many factors cause greenhouse effect nowadays.
Today, temperature is about 18℃ while it used to be 15℃ in 1750. We can say that greenhouse effect has really something to do with temperature and it causes a serious problem.

4. evaluation
Definitely using ICT in learning and teaching is useful and effective. It helps learners imagine things, guess the consequences, give reasons and solve problems. I found out that these things directly related to mental models I mentioned in question 1. Not only that, using ICT also helps learners in a sense of enjoying learning. Especially when learners are small like primary school children, they could easily lose their concentration in learning. However if the learning material was computer graphics or any other things that children can try by themselves, it's very good to keep their motivations high.

Overall, I learned the effective way of using ICT in learning and teaching.
